Eltel is looking for a Fiber Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION

Eltel works with planning, building, connecting, and maintaining communication networks. This is done on behalf of operators, network owners, authorities, and government agencies. As a leader in the development of the infrastructure network industry, Eltel takes pride in creating value for its customers and society at large by combining knowledge and expertise with a practical approach to work.

Eltel is now looking for a fiber technician to join its team to continue expanding the communication network in Sweden. You will work closely with another technician to support each other in the work and contribute the best possible solution for each project. You will be offered a large portion of responsibility and collaborate closely with other technicians, designers, and project managers.

This role is security classified, which means that a security clearance will be conducted later in the process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Blowing and pulling fiber cables
• Installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks
• Collaboration with pullers and splicers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Have experience working with fiber optics, preferably as an FTTH technician
• Hold a B driver's license with a manual transmission
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Are flexible to work in other locations as needed and night shifts

It is an advantage if you have

• Certification as a fiber technician or similar
• Experience working at heights and with aerial lifts
• Training in work on roads
• Knowledge can be acquired through education, experience, or self-learning
